How Can I Make an Appointment for My Tattoo?

To get on the schedule, please call (740) 609-3164. You may also reach out to the shop page on Facebook/Instagram, or email us at contact@crownforty.com. We will set you up with a a consultation to come in and speak to an artist directly about what you are wanting to get.

Consultations?

A consultation is required for all new clients and for all returning clients who are wanting to start a new piece. In certain situations (e.g., a client from out of town), consultations can be completed digitally.

How Long Will My Tattoo Consultation Take?

Typically, a consultation can be completed in 10-15 minutes.

What Do I Need to Bring to My Tattoo Consultation?

Please bring any reference materials you may have for the artist to look at and be ready to discuss your vision of the design. The goal here is to convey to the artist exactly what you are wanting to achieve so that they can be as prepared as possible for your appointment. While consultations are free, if you choose to move forward with booking an appointment, a $100 deposit will be required.

Deposits?

A deposit ensures that the day and time of your appointment is secured in our schedule and helps to prevent last minute cancellations. The deposit will also be deducted from the final session of the tattoo. For example, a single-session tattoo costing $250 would result in only $150 being due on the day of the appointment.

How Much Will My Tattoo Cost and How Long Will It Take?

There are many factors (size, placement, level of detail, style, etc.) that affect the overall cost of any tattoo. Our artists charge by the hour for larger pieces, while smaller single-session pieces are typically a flat rate. The artist will be able to provide you with their best estimate of the total cost during your consultation. Our artists typically prefer to work 3-4 hours per session for large pieces. Exceptionally large pieces may require longer sessions. The artist will be able to provide you with their best estimate on the total time or number of sessions needed during your consultation.

How Should I Prepare for My Tattoo Appointment?

Please arrive a few minutes early for your appointment, and please ensure you are well-rested, well-fed, and sober. Anyone under the influence will be subject to the loss of their deposit. Additionally, you may also wish to lotion/moisturize the area to be tattooed for several days before the appointment. If you wish to use a numbing agent, please refer to the product packaging for specific instructions for application.

What Payment Options Do You Accept?

Cash is always preferred. However, we can accept credit/debit cards. Artists may accept other forms of payment (Venmo, PayPal, etc.) at their discretion. Please check with your artist before your appointment to find out what works best.

What Is the Aftercare Process?

Follow the instructions provided by your artist to ensure proper aftercare.

Can You Squeeze Me in Sooner if I Need a Tattoo Quickly?

We have artists who have set schedules you will need to book with. We also offer walk-ins. Please reach out about availability.

What Happens If I Need to Cancel My Appointment?

If a cancellation occurs less than 48 hours before the scheduled appointment, a new $100 deposit will be required to reschedule. No exceptions.

Fix or Touch-Up an Existing Tattoo?

In many cases, our artists are able to cover an unwanted tattoo with something you will love. However, there are many factors that play into what is possible for cover-ups. Please schedule a consultation so that the artist can see what you are wanting to cover and determine what may or may not work in your situation. In extreme circumstances, the artist may recommend a few sessions of laser removal treatment to lighten the existing tattoo.

Walk-Ins?

Yes! If we are open, we will have an artist available for walk-ins. If the design you are wanting is too large/complex for a walk-in, we’d be happy to get you an appointment on the schedule.

Do You Offer Piercing Services?

We currently do not have a piercer, nor do we have body jewelry available for purchase.

Can I Bring My Kids?

No one under the age of 18 is permitted in the shop. Please reach out in advance of your appointment if this is a problem for you so that we can discuss the available options for your situation.

Can I See My Tattoo Design Before the Appointment?

Our artists are extremely busy and typically will not have the final design ready for you in advance of the appointment. If on the day of the appointment, you do not approve of the design, the appointment can be rescheduled. Small changes to the design, however, can be taken care of the day of the appointment and will not require rescheduling.
